Training on the operation of breathing air filling systems in accordance with TRBS 3145

Operators of breathing air filling systems are required under TRBS 3145 to provide annual training for their staff.

This training serves to maintain professional competence and helps operators to fulfil their statutory training and documentation obligations.

In accordance with TRBS 3145, participants receive theoretical training in the safe handling of breathing air filling systems. They are familiar with the requirements for users of filling systems, the filling system itself, the compressed gas cylinders to be filled and the associated equipment, as well as the requirements for breathing air quality. They are able to identify potential hazards, assess risks correctly and respond appropriately in the event of malfunctions or damage.
All training content is based on the applicable statutory and occupational health and safety regulations and rules, as well as technical standards.

The online training forms part of the legally compliant training. In addition, technical instruction on the respective, individual breathing air filling system is required. This instruction must be provided by a competent person appointed by the employer. This appointed person is trained by a Noordtec service technician as part of the annual system maintenance and instructed in safe operation and the system-specific features.
